AGA Centenary

In 2025, we celebrated our centenary. We are grateful to our former chairman, Bob Tanner, for compiling a history of the association from 1925. How gardening times have changed!

“The Duchess and I are pleased to send warm congratulations to members of Arundel’s Gardens Association in this, its centenary year. We know there has been a close relationship between the Association and my family since its inception in 1925 and we are pleased that your President, Martin Duncan, continues that relationship with the Castle today.

We look forward to meeting many of your members at the celebratory Garden Party in the Collector Earl’s Garden next July and meanwhile, we hope your members enjoy the other events planned in your centenary year’s programme.”  His Grace the Duke of Norfolk

Centenary Events

To mark the centenary, we held two special events in addition to our regular programme of talks:

In May, a Gardeners Question Time style event at Denmans Garden.

In July, an evening Garden Party, kindly hosted by the Duke and Duchess of Norfolk, at the Collector Earl’s Garden, Arundel Castle.
